Thousands of animals are dying each year due to cigarette butts - the UK’s most littered item.

And as it happens, loads of UK pubs are named after animals.

So with the charity Keep Britain Tidy, we changed The White Swan in Twickenham, into The Poisoned Swan - showing smokers the impact their littering is having.

We then got Jonny Vegas, who's previously had beef with Doncaster council for dropping a cigarette butt, down for a pint. He felt bad about his past mistakes, but we felt quite good because our little stunt made it onto BBC Breakfast.

More pubs are getting involved and changing their names to ‘The Choked Trout’, ‘The Convulsing Dolphin’ and ‘The Gasping Fox & Duck’, highlighting how cigarette butt littering damages all sorts of wildlife.
